Associate Professor Jonathan Green

Based at the University of Southern Queensland, Jonathan brings over two decades of experience in widening participation and pathways education, with leadership in Enabling programs, first-year transition, and inclusive curriculum design. His career across Africa, Asia, and Australia has shown him the transformative power of education to expand freedoms and opportunities—especially for those historically excluded from higher learning. He believes education should not only prepare learners for university but also enrich the lives they have reason to value. As Editor-in-Chief, he champions research that challenges deficit thinking, promotes inclusive practice, and strengthens the evidence base for Enabling education—driven by a commitment to quality, equity, and supporting diverse learners in higher education.
