Professor Ruth Wallace

Ruth Wallace is Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Arts and Society at Charles Darwin University and previously the Director of the Northern Institute. A leader in education and social policy for over 30 years, she specialises in Indigenous knowledge systems, digital pedagogies, and workforce development in remote and regional contexts. Ruth’s research spans Australia and Indonesia, focusing on Aboriginal enterprise, marginalised learners, and scalable service delivery. She advises national bodies on education and biosecurity,. A Fulbright Distinguished Chair recipient, Ruth builds high-impact partnerships across government, academia, and industry to drive inclusive, sustainable change.
