Professor Peter Anderson is Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous and a lifelong fellow of the Atlantic Institute (Social Equity). His scholarship advances Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educative rights, Indigenous student success, and self-determination in higher education.

Professor Anderson's research employs Indigenous rights-based approaches, academic freedom frameworks, ethical AI, and Data Sovereignty principles to articulate pathways toward 'Rightful Success' in tertiary education. He critically examines the social determinants affecting Indigenous student completion while advocating for rights-based, affirming learning environments that center Indigenous perspectives, knowledge systems and intellectual agency.

Through Indigenous Rights Based method and methodologies his work seeks to transform both educational practice and outcomes, challenging deficit-based frameworks and advancing Indigenous-led and informed approaches to educational equity.
